Constantinos Pavlides

- What can you tell us about yourself?
Just a vegan drummer who’s trying his best for the animal welfare and putting all the work for a better version of himself.
- What does veganism mean to you?
It means LOVE! Pure, genuine love and respect for all animals without exception. It means being true to yourself and stop looking away from the truth. It means respect for our planet and every living creature. For me Veganism equals Consciousness!
3. What led you to follow the vegan way of life?
Like everyone else I grew up in a society that is programming us to separate animals into two categories.
- Pets that we show our love, hug, kiss, and fall into deep grief once we lose them.
- The rest of the animals as part of the “food chain”.
After the first glimpses of my spiritual awakening I started realising that all my life I was nothing but a hypocrite. I was separating animals into pets and food. Petting my dog while paying for other animals to get slaughtered. That was the day I stopped eating meat.
It was not long after I was sent a video about “the dairy industry”. That video made me realise I was still a hypocrite who was hiding from the truth. Not many people know about the dairy industry, but cows are being raped in order to produce more milk than they would normally do. A calf (baby cow) is being stolen from it’s mother minutes after it’s birth so that the milk is being bottled, sold and consumed by humans. Male cows are being killed as they are useless to the dairy and food industry.
It’s clear to say that what led me to become a vegan was the decision to be true to myself, and face the awful truth. Sleeping every night without any guilts and blood on my hands is a beautiful feeling.
4. How easy or difficult it is to be vegan today?
In the year 2020 when there’s a vegan restaurant in every corner, I would say very easy! Eating out or eating in are both possible and easy options. Grocery shopping is much easier since all vegan and bio products are all in one section.
Of course it’s of great importance to read the ingredients of the food packages in order to avoid any hidden dairy or gelatine but that’s something you get used to in no time!
- What is your favourite recipe?
Because of my lifestyle and training, my nutrition is extremely “clean”. So, I avoid sugar, oily and “heavy” foods. But if I have to choose one would be my vegan protein bars which are made of all natural ingredients. Everyone who takes a bite, asks for the recipe! I’ll take that as compliment! 🙂 🙂
- Do you have a favourite product to suggest?
I sure do!!! The amazing ViVo Life raw cacao protein powder is what I take every day for my shakes, smoothies, oat meals and that’s what I also use for my custom protein bars! I strongly recommend it since it’s a healthy, 100% natural-raw protein powder and tastes amazing!
- Are you inspired by any animal? If yes, which one?
The wild gorilla! One of the strongest animals on earth that eats only plants and fruits!
- Any more comments?
Not all vegan foods are healthy! Make sure to have a balanced diet full of whole foods, fruits and vegetables. Carbs and healthy fats are equally important to protein! Keep the processed foods and sugar to the minimum and drink as much water as possible.
For my gym buddies, eat clean, make sure you get enough plant protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats and push beyond your limits! REMEMBER, the strongest animals on earth are all herbivores!
We are here on this earth to make a difference, and truth is one day we will be gone. Until then, let’s aim for the best version of ourselves. Let’s face the truth that animals are suffering, getting rapped and slaughtered as we speak.
Today YOU have a choice. The choice of treating every living creature with love and respect. Let’s make love a priority. We can change the world by changing ourselves!
